U.S. Associate Director of Operations
U.S. Associate Director of Operations & Supply Chain
Wild Cosmetics is a sustainable personal care company specialising in refillable product solutions, focused on reducing single-use plastic waste through circular design.
Wild is experiencing significant growth with the U.S. as its fastest-growing market, now anchored by a Midtown-Manhattan office. The organisation and its executive/planning functions are UK-based and supported by local teams that run daily operations and engage with strategic projects.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an Associate Director of Operations & Supply Chain to lead end-to-end U.S. logistics, inventory strategy, and fulfilment operations while supporting the organisation's rapid regional growth. This role combines hands-on execution with strategic project management, serving as a senior leader for the U.S.-based team.
Reporting directly to the UK-based Director of Operations and leading a team of two, you will own operations, supply chain performance, and fulfilment across DTC, Amazon, and major U.S. retailers (e.g., Walmart, Target), acting as the primary leadership contact for Wild's U.S. 3PLs, logistics network, and supply chain partners. You will also contribute to and lead cross-functional transformational projects, including network design, automation, and product reformulation.
This role requires someone who can operate independently, manage end-to-end supply chain visibility and P&L accountability, drive strategic project outcomes, and adapt to the needs of a fast-growing organisation.
🫡 Your Responsibilities
• Operational & Supply Chain Leadership: Own end-to-end U.S. fulfilment and supply chain performance across DTC, Amazon, and Retail channels—including demand alignment, inbound/outbound freight, inventory distribution, dispatch, and customer service operations.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing team of two (Ops Manager and Ops Executive), driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Strategic Project Management: Contribute to and lead transformational initiatives such as supply chain automation, network redesign, and product reformulation, ensuring projects move forward on schedule.
• Commercial & Partner Management: Hold P&L accountability for U.S. fulfillment and logistics; establish SLA reviews, QBRs, and accountability structures with 3PLs, carriers, and supply chain partners to negotiate terms and drive margin improvement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the UK-based central planning and supply chain teams alongside the U.S. local team to align inventory, supply plans, and operational activities with business strategy.
• Process & Network Optimization: Analyze workflows and supply chain nodes to reduce lead times, eliminate friction points, and implement scalable, cost-effective solutions.
• Retail Supply Chain & Operations: Manage retail operational compliance and logistics requirements for mass-market partners like Walmart and Target, minimising chargebacks and ensuring high fulfilment standards.
🚀 What You Bring
• Operational & Supply Chain Expertise: 7+ years of experience across broad operations and end-to-end supply chain management within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Analytical Proficiency: Strong data analysis capabilities; proficient in building and maintaining supply chain dashboards to track inventory health, operational KPIs, and carrier performance.
• Systems Competency: Strong proficiency with ERP, inventory management, and WMS platforms (Wild uses Fulfill.io, but experience with this specific platform is not strictly required).
• Project Management: Proven ability to scope, drive, and execute large-scale operational and supply chain transformations independently.
• Retail & Partner Experience: Hands-on experience managing major retail compliance requirements, 3PL partners, and freight/logistics vendors.
• People Leadership: Proven track record of coaching and developing teams, establishing clear performance goals, and scaling capabilities.
• Working Style: Proactive, structured, and resourceful; capable of bridging communications across international headquarters (UK) and regional U.S. stakeholders.
⚡️ Logistics
• Location: Fully Remote
• Travel: Occasional travel: 1-2 times per month (e.g., to Atlanta, 3PL sites, or key hubs)
• Hours: Standard Eastern Time business hours with flexibility to accommodate UK cross-time-zone collaboration and peak operational seasons.
⚡️ Compensation and Benefits
• Pay: Flexible based on skills, experience, and qualifications
• Bonus: Eligible
• Long-Term Incentives: Eligible
• PTO: Generous leave aligned with Wild's Holiday Policy
• Benefits: Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision), retirement savings, life and disability insurance, parental/sick leave, paid holidays, and additional voluntary benefits options.
