Demand Planner
About Us:
Hey there, we’re Wild. We’re on a mission to remove single-use plastic from the bathroom and redefine the future of personal care across Europe and beyond. We’re a high-growth, venture-backed start-up, launching our refillable deodorant in 2020 - we’re also one of Europe’s fastest growing start-ups. Sounds fun, right?
In 2023 Wild significantly expanded its retail footprint in the UK and Europe, launching into major retailers Tesco, DM and Rossman. To support this we are looking to hire a Senior Demand Planner who will work closely with our retail team, overseeing our retail S&OP process.
This is a great opportunity to join a high growth start-up, with sustainability at its very core, changing the way consumers think about personal care products.
Some of your daily responsibilities:
Responsible for facilitating the monthly retail S&OP process and ensuring our retail forecasting system (ANAPLAN) accurately reflects the latest demand plan
Reporting as part of the monthly S&OP process on forecast accuracy and implementing changes to improve forecast accuracy over time
Working collaboratively with the retail team to review and improve each retailer forecast model, acting as a link between supply and demand
Undertaking ad-hoc pieces of analysis to continuously improve the tools and processes we use to forecast
Review historical data including sales and order actuals to inform future forecasts
Building strong relationships with Supply Chain contacts at all major retail accounts to nurture working relationships and improve forecast accuracy, i.e. tailoring each model for retailer specific stockholding assumption and order purchasing patterns
Support the retail team on high profile/complex forecasting tasks, including new product forecasting, new retailer launches and analysis of the impact of promotions, e.g. aligning on assumptions, benchmarking against similar products etc.
Scenario planning to review risks/opportunities in the retail demand plan
Coordinating closely with the Supply Chain Lead and Supply Chain Manager to ensure we trade existing stock levels to meet any variations in the retail demand plan
Working closely with the Snr. Retail Operations Manager on order fulfilment implications of any short term forecast changes
What we need from you
Expert level excel skills, ANAPLAN knowledge useful but not essential
3-5 years demand planning in an FMCG business
Experience with sales & operations planning a necessity, integrated business planning experience preferred
Great attention to detail, and a constant drive to improve the status quo
Self starter who is as happy head down in a spreadsheet as talking to customers
Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement
Ability to build cross functional relationships with Marketing, Finance, Sales and Operations teams
Please note that we welcome applications from candidates who may not hit every single bullet point on the lists below - if you’re passionate about our mission and feel you have relevant skills and experiences to add value to this role, please submit an application!
